Charlie Kurata is a French-Japanese music producer, engineer, and songwriter

Born in London, raised in Paris, and having lived in Bristol, Singapore, and Tokyo, his experience across different genres, industry scenes, and continents has given Charlie a wide ranging perspective and the ability to adapt to working with artists all around the world.

At the age of 13, Charlie started producing music, eventually releasing music under the monikers Duumu and Charlie. These projects have accumulated over 88 million combined streams with releases on Monstercat, bitbird, Majestic Casual, Chillhop Records, as well as synchronizations with Verizon, Rocket League, and Roblox.

Whilst he still occasionally releases original music, in 2020 Charlie shifted his main focus away from his artist projects, choosing to work with other artists. In that time, he’s had the opportunity to work alongside the likes of lullaboy, Benjamin Kheng, Kaoru Miyazaki, KAY-I, HNATA, Marian Carmel, Gabriel, Juliet Ivy, LilyPichu, hololive, and more.

Charlie is primarily based in Paris, but splits his time between Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
